Purpose
Develop or assist events and projects which promote community identification and local pride.
What Have We Done?
Established annual events including the Trolley Derby and Children’s day, South City Street Party, summer Night Food Markets
- Organised and supported lots of other events including: Summer Sounds concerts, South Alive public meetings, openings and launches
Oversee the organising of all South Alive events, to make sure all our events are safe and fun
- Developed signage and equipment for use across our South Alive events
Forward Plans
- Continuing the organisation of key annual events
- Exploring new opportunities for events that promote community pride and connection
Establish and maintain an events calendar on our website to promote upcoming events
Volunteer Opportunities
- Join the action team – attend regular meetings to plan and oversee all South Alive events
- Casual volunteer – help out at events like our annual Street Party, Trolley Derby & Children’s Day, School Holiday events, Markets, and World Kindness Day
